Spectroscopy
More than meets the eye
Not all castings are created the same. Different applications require different alloy specifications. At Cast-Rite, we take our metal seriously; that is why we have invested in a top-of-the-line Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) instrument.
OES is the process of applying electrical energy to a metalĀ to generate an emission spectrum where the lines on the spectrum each represent a different element. If there are any impurities in the metal, then the spectrum will show those impurities.
Our OES instrument allows us to monitor the quality of our metal without having to rely on outside laboratories. This keeps things in-house and increases our overall output efficiency.
