CNC MachiningHigh Precision and Complex Parts
At Cast-Rite, we offer a complement of services to fulfill every need you might have. Die casting might be our specialty, but our team is trained in a range of manufacturing processes. Our facility is equipped with a variety of machinery to reduce manufacturing time and offer a ‘one-stop’ solution for your needs. CNC machining – and the many different types of it available – is no exception.
CNC Machining: an overview
CNC machining is a manufacturing process where a computer-guided machining center shapes a workpiece. CNC milling rotates a tool against a stationary workpiece, while CNC turning rotates the workpiece against the tool. In both, material is removed from the workpiece to create whatever shapes are required for the part.
CNC Machining provides excellent part accuracy, increased manufacturing efficiency and consistency, and is, overall, a very cost-reductive process. Because the tools are guided by computer programs, there is far less room for human error and much less material waste. This makes CNC machining, in general, a much more environmentally friendly service as well.
