Supplier Quality Requirements
This document defines the minimum quality requirements for suppliers and subcontractors.

General Requirements
Turnaround time will be determined no later than the time of pick-up/delivery of parts to the Supplier based on Customer and Cast-Rite Corporation priorities/requirements and will be the basis for baseline of delivery.
The Supplier must notify Cast-Rite Corporation of nonconforming product and obtain Cast-Rite’s approval for nonconforming product disposition.
The Supplier agrees to right of access by Cast-Rite Corporation, our customer, and regulatory authorities to the applicable areas of all facilities, at any level of the supply chain involved in the order and to all applicable records. Corrective action and improvement required from Supplier when acceptance level is below 98%. Supplier is disqualified from the Approved Suppliers List if acceptance level is below 98% for 3 months.
Production-related Suppliers providing components, raw material, or processes are required to maintain an ISO 9001, AS9100 or an equivalent quality management system; or have the necessary documented verification procedures and or controls in place to ensure the purchase order requirements as specified are satisfied.
Suppliers performing calibration services need to maintain a system meeting ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 or an equivalent standard.
When applicable, any requirements for documents created or retained by the Supplier will be stated on the Purchase Order.
All documents provided to the Supplier by Cast-Rite shall be returned upon request.
Requirements for qualification of personnel, if required, will be stated on the Purchase Order.
These Supplier Quality Requirements shall be flowed down to the Suppliers direct and sub-tier suppliers.
The approval of products and services; methods, processes and equipment; and the release of products and services, if required will be stated on the Purchase order.
Requirements for design and development control, if required, will be stated on the Purchase Order.
The Supplier must prevent the use of counterfeit parts.
The Supplier must provide test specimens for design approval, inspection/verification, investigation, or auditing, if required.
The Supplier must ensure that personnel are aware of their contribution to product or service conformity, Product Safety, and the importance of ethical behavior.
Raw Material Mill Certification for Raw Material and Hardware Shipments
When applicable to the contract, if any organization other than Cast-Rite has procured the raw material from the source, with each shipment of raw material or hardware, Cast-Rite’s supplier shall include with the shipment’s documents, a legible copy, in English, of the actual Mill Certification or Certificate of Analysis for the raw material heat lot used in the shipment. The Mill Certification or Certificate of Analysis must include:
The identity and address of the Mill, the Country of Origin,
The applicable material specification(s) including the applicable revision level(s), and any chemical, physical and test data required by the applicable material specification(s).
When there have been interim processors and/or distributors in the acquisition chain from the raw material source to Cast-Rite, there should be evidence that at least one supplier in the chain has verified the chemical, physical, and test data on the Mill Certification or Certificate of Analysis to the applicable specification and revision requirements. Acceptance can be indicated with the name and title of the approver, and date of acceptance placed on the face of the document.
Certificate of Conformance
With each shipment, Cast-Rite’s supplier must provide a Certificate of Conformance (C of C), or similarly titled document that includes the following information as applicable to the type of product supplied to Cast-Rite:
Supplier’s name and address
Cast-Rite’s PO number and Shipment Number
Part number and revision of applicable drawings on Cast-Rite’s PO
Applicable specification(s) on Cast-Rite’s PO
Quantity tested when applicable to specification(s)
Conforming quantity shipped, including serial numbers when applicable
If applicable, batch number, heat lot number, Lot ID, dates of manufacture and expiration, as applicable to the type of product
Signature and title of authorized person responsible for releasing the product shipment
Date of release for shipment
A statement of conformance to drawing(s) and specification(s) in Cast-Rite’s PO, including their revision(s)
Acquisition documents with release authorizations, which show traceability through the supply chain from the original material source/manufacturer to Cast-Rite.
Record Retention
The Supplier must retain Quality Records for at least 7 years or longer, or as specified on the Purchase Order. Upon request, the Supplier shall be able to retrieve and deliver required records to Cast-Rite within 2 business days from time of request. Quality records refer to records that provide objective evidence of compliance to Cast-Rite contract requirements. Prior to discarding, transferring to another organization, or destruction of such records, the Supplier shall notify the Cast-Rite Buyer in writing and give Cast-Rite the opportunity to gain possession of the records. These requirements are applicable to records generated by Supplier’s sub-tier sources.
Compliance with Local Laws and Regulations
Suppliers must adhere to the laws and regulations in the locality in which they reside. This includes all local, state, and federal laws/regulations in the country of origin.
Compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety Laws
The Supplier must maintain and operate its manufacturing/production facilities and processes in accordance with local, state, and federal laws/regulations in the country of origin. At no time shall any Cast-Rite person be exposed to hazardous materials or unsafe conditions while visiting a Supplier’s location. For items with inherent hazards, safety notices must be clearly visible. As applicable, documented safety handling and protection information must be provided.
Conflict Minerals
No product supplied by Supplier shall contain any mineral that directly or indirectly finances any armed group that has been identified as a perpetrator of human rights abuses, including without limitation those defined as conflict minerals in the rules issued under Section 13(p) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Foreign Object Damage/Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Prevention
The supplier shall establish, document and maintain a system in compliance with the applicable revision of AS9146.
Control of Sub-tier Suppliers
The Supplier, as the recipient of the contract, is responsible for meeting all requirements, including work performed by the Supplier’s sub-tier Suppliers (also known as Sub-Suppliers or subcontract Suppliers). When the Supplier uses sub-tier sources to perform work on products and/or services scheduled for delivery to Cast-Rite, the Supplier shall include (flow-down) on contracts, to its sub-tier sources, the applicable technical and quality requirements contained in the Cast-Rite Supplier Requirements, including quality system requirements, regulatory requirements, the use of designated sources, and to furnish certifications and test reports as required. Cast-Rite and its customers reserve the right-of-entry to suppliers and sub-tier supplier facilities, subject to proprietary considerations.
Unauthorized Facility Changes
During performance on the Contract, the Supplier shall give Cast-Rite written notice prior to:
Relocating any production, inspection or processing facilities;
Transferring work between different facilities
Initiating any changes in the source of major components procured by the Supplier and designated for use in or for installation on products scheduled for delivery to Cast-Rite.
Making any other changes which may affect product quality, reliability or integrity.
Such changes are subject to approval/disapproval by Cast-Rite. A change in ownership or a change in the individual designated as the management representative with respect to the Suppliers Quality/Inspection System shall be construed as a facility change and requires the Supplier to notify Cast-Rite.
Export Control
Seller shall comply, and shall cause its subsidiaries, affiliates, and Suppliers at all tiers, to comply with any export controls under the Arms Export Control Act of 1976 (22 USC 2751-2779), the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) (22 CFR 120-128 and 130) or the provisions of the Export Administration Act of 1979 (50 USC 2401-2420) and the Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR 768-799) and their successor and supplemental laws and regulations (collectively hereinafter “Export Laws and Regulations”). Supplier agrees that it will not transfer an export-controlled item, data, or service, to foreign person employed, or associated with, the supplier without the authority of an export license or applicable exemption.
Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement
If the Order shows that it is a DPAS rated order or an order placed in support of a U.S. Government funded prime contract or subcontract, or if the Buyer otherwise notifies the Seller that this Order is placed under a U.S. Government prime contract or subcontract, the following clauses of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and the Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) apply and are incorporated herein by reference with the same force Cast-Rite’s standard Terms and Conditions of Purchase.
